In the ending, you apparently escape on a train and ride off with it.This chapter is one of the only chapters to have one of the protagonists become infected, with the only others being Forest and Refinery.
However, the vending machine in Plant contains the Mallet, while the Metro's vending machine contains the Blue Keycard.
The waiting room featured in Metro also appears in Plant. Coincidentally, this is the same for Store, which is a neighboring location. The location of the exit is directly behind the player when they spawn. Considering the Store is right next to the Metro, the Store is also underground. The Metro is confirmed to be under the Hospital. There were meant to be more Traps you can buy in the update the Metro was released in, but it was delayed and released later. MiniToon has tweeted about what this map was going to be, jokingly saying it was going to be a "potato restaurant" or "gallery 2".
